CAUSES: Osteoporosis is a bone disease causing the tissues to erode. The disease is quite common in women above 45 due to natural stage cycle of Menopause. Not just women, men are also in much danger of the disease owing to the fact that aging also reduces bone density and tissue structure.

AFFECTED AGE-GROUPS: The disease is called a silent disease as its symptoms aren't much visible. However, people crossing the age of 50 are most likely to develop this disease.

TREATMENTS:

Medications for the disease are prescribed by the orthopedics to help the bone regain their lost tissue structure. They're also given to ease the pain that comes as a side-effect of the disease.
